The physical therapy is aimed at healing of the disorders depending on the type of the patient and the activity levels which the patient desires to develop after the completion of the rehabilitation program. Such goals can be achieved by helping the patient recover frm the injury and working together as a unit.
The duration of the treatment through physical therapy is not fixed. Since the program is specially designed to meet the patient’s requirements, every procedure lasts for a different time. Everybody can his or her own constraints, due to which there are limitations on the duration of physical therapy. People have to live on with their lives and cannot spend months ina row on physical therapy. Therefore the procedure is devised to suit the demands of the patient and care is taken so that the disorder or problem is also cured. It is a known fact that for some people, rehabilitation can be a kind of imposition. For every person, the duration of treatment is different and so is the rate of healing of the disorder. A professional physical therapist will be able to determine the extent of progress after a mere two weeks of the program. Therefore, he can inform the patients about the exact duration of the process. Although some people feel that rehabilitation is a waste of time and money and that they can do without it, it is very important in the process of physiotherapy. It is true that the rehabilitation process takes a lot of time, but it should also be taken into consideration that the disorder or injury was also given the time to progress and cause pain and serious side effects. Therefore, to heal such disorders, a certain extent of time is also necessary. Also, the patients should try to understand that even though the rehabilitation program is the responsibility of the physical therapist, the Home Program is the sole responsibility of the patient. It is also a very important factor in determining the duration of healing of the disorder.
